Samantha Heron, Hygiene Clinical Coach at Optimize Dental, will be teaching a course designed for dental practice owners and practice managers seeking to elevate the performance of their hygiene department through a modern, prevention- and periodontal-focused model of care. Participants will learn how to implement consistent, evidence-based clinical protocols, improve patient understanding and case acceptance through effective visual communication, and optimize hygiene scheduling and recall systems for greater efficiency. Emphasis is placed on increasing hygiene productivity ethically, strengthening interprofessional communication between hygienists and doctors, and using key data and performance metrics to support continuous improvement, accountability, and long-term practice sustainability.
