Optimizing the Flow of Care is a two-part Hygiene and Treatment

Coordination course taught by Theresa Smith that focuses on

the operational alignment of scheduling, capacity management,

and coordinated care delivery. Participants will examine

scheduling styles and optimization strategies to support

attainable goal setting and efficient use of clinical resources.

The course addresses treatment and hygiene planning, patient

communication techniques that support informed decision-

making and case acceptance, and ethical insurance optimization.

Additional topics include chart audits, referral processes, and the

application of Eyes Up Dentistry to identify comprehensive care

opportunities. Upon completion, participants will gain practical

systems and communication frameworks to improve operational

efficiency, patient care coordination, and overall practice

performance.
